1. Open to all full time/part time students, classified per category:
Junior Division: Grade 1-7
High School Division: HS I-IV
College Division : University Level
2. Essay Theme:
Junior Division (Grade School):
“Who is General Miguel Malvar? What makes him my
Hero?”
High School Division:
“Who is General Miguel Malvar, the 2nd President of the
Philippines?”
College Division:
“Who is General Miguel Malvar in the context of modern
society today?”
3. Format Criteria:
May be in Engish or Tagalog
Number of words – (length)
Junior Division (Grade School) – min
1, 000 to max. 1, 500 words
HS & College Division – min 2,000 to max. 4,000 words
Paper size: printed on 8 ½” x 11” bond paper
Double Spaced Margins 1” on each side
Must be type written/ printed from computer
Font: Times New Roman, size 12
4. Contest Period:
June 15, 2011 to September 15,, 2011
5. Entry Rules:
a) Official Entry Form and Rules (download
forms from GMM Centennial website) – official website will be
online by June 15, 2011
b) All entry forms should be signed by the student-participant. Entry
forms that are not signed shall not be considered.
c) Only one entry per student
d) All essay entries must be accompanied by the official entry
form
